# MemVault
> Augmented Memory for AI Agents

MemVault is a long-term memory layer for AI Agents. The current first-party install target is the OpenClaw plugin.

## Recommended quick install
openclaw plugins install @mornlong/openclaw-memvault
openclaw gateway restart

## Optional advanced setup
Only needed if the user wants explicit MemVault tools or an extra OpenClaw config patch.
Default local path example: bash ~/.openclaw/extensions/openclaw-memvault/scripts/setup.sh
The actual extension path can vary with the OpenClaw install location.

## First-run user flow
1. In OpenClaw, run /mvstatus.
2. Open the connection URL shown by the plugin.
3. Bind an email account on the Portal and finish device linking.
4. Keep using OpenClaw normally. MemVault continues in the background.
